![]() Thankfully, by the time the PS4 version launched, it was in a much better state and was something I could safely recommend to all. The sequel was fun but needed work when it launched on PC. The original Cook, Serve, Delicious! Is one of my favourite games to play on the iPad. Originally released on PC and PS4 and scored 7.5/10 on PC If you have another platform to experience these games on, make sure you do. ![]() Even when you unlock smooth scrolling in the original, it stutters here and there and feels like it has a lot of input lag. Evoland does support the native Switch video recording.Įvoland Legendary Edition packages two great titles but I’m pretty disappointed with the performance. I’m quite disappointed that this version isn’t something I’d consider definitive thanks to the performance issues. Both games in this package need performance improvements. There isn’t any unique use of the Switch hardware and the port needs some optimisation. On the Switch, this package offers nothing really of note over the other platforms barring portability which was already possible thanks to the mobile versions that released earlier. Evoland 2 has its own proper narrative as well. Evoland 2 on the other hand is a much more polished experience on its own and feels like a much better game overall even though I still prefer the original. Shiro Games’ original Evoland is a must play title for any fans of old school RPGs just as a way to relive how graphics and even games evolved. I loved the way it showcased how games evolved in terms of graphics while it had its own set of references to various things. Originally released as two separate games across PC, iOS, Android, PS4, and Xbox OneĮvoland on Steam was a fantastic experience for me. These reviews aren’t just to talk about the game but to look at how the games run and play on the Switch and how they use the Switch features. If you’re new to the Switch Re:Port Reviews on the Geek, I (with the help of the fine folk here) look at the Switch ports of games that have been released on other platforms. More about Cook, Serve, Delicious 2.Today’s Switch Re:Port Review looks at four games that saw releases earlier on other platforms. CSD2 can be played with a friend - so if you have two kids or want to jump in on the action yourself - you can both work to beat the heat in this crazy awesome cooking game. The thrill of the challenge will keep them glued to the screen, figuring out the best strategies to cook and manage 30 separate restaurants through 350 levels. When you need a break from cooking, you can play up to 30 other non-cooking mini games, including Shopkeeper!, in which you manage several shops, solve timed slider puzzles, or play mini-games that test math and memorization skills.Ĭook, Serve, Delicious 2 is billed as one of the “most intense cooking games ever made,” and will appeal to virtual chefs with a competitive streak. Let’s Play starts out with a handful of recipes (more can be unlocked by performing certain tasks in-game or purchasing menu packs), which can be made by easy gesture controls. The multiplayer mode is also great if you have smaller kids who want to play, but can’t manage the kitchen craziness on their own.Ĭooking Mama Let’s Play is a game for kids who are cooking game newbies. There’s a four-player co-op mode which adds to the madness, and this is when the game is at its best. Oh yeah, and do all that while navigating ridiculous kitchens that are split up into several parts and floating on lava or in space. The goal of the game is to fill orders as quickly and accurately as possible - and that includes doing prep work like chopping veggies, tenderizing meat, and making sure the soup doesn’t burn. This frenetic cooking game is great for the entire family. Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC Check out a few of our favorite SuperParent-approved cooking games for Nintendo Switch, PS4, iOS, Android, and PC. It’s Memorial Day weekend, and while we might not let the kids man the grill by themselves, there are plenty of great video games that let would-be chefs have a hand in creating (virtual) culinary delights. From co-op kitchens to a Mama who cooks, these games will order up fun on Nintendo Switch, iPhone, Android, PC, and PS4.
